[ 02 ]Who is Giovanni

I studied people before I designed for them. That's not a metaphor. I started in Customer Experience, learning how people actually behave, long before I opened a design file. Everything I do now still starts there.

[ 03 ]What I do

Design is the visible part of the work.

I work across UX, research, product strategy and design systems, for B2B, B2C, SaaS, e-commerce and fintech teams. The interface is where it ends up. It's rarely where it starts. My job is connecting business goals, user behavior and technical constraints into something that actually ships, and actually works.

[ 04 ]Professional profile

Broad on product, deep where it counts.

This is how I work as a designer: broad knowledge across product, and real depth in the areas where I make the most difference. The cases above show each of them in practice.

  1. UX Writing

    Solid

I write so people understand without effort: names, labels and messages that follow how they think, not how the system is organized.

  2. Accessibility

    Solid

I treat accessibility as a requirement from day one: contrast, screen reader support and information that doesn't rely on color alone.

  3. UX Research

    Advanced

I go into the field, interview, test, and cross quantitative with qualitative data. I've gathered almost 2,000 survey responses in under 24h.

  4. Interaction & flows

    Deep

I design complex flows end to end, including the error and edge cases, which is where experiences usually break.

  5. Visual design

    Deep

Hierarchy, typography and interface detail in high fidelity, from consumer apps to internal tools.

  6. Design systems

    Deep

I create and maintain whole systems: tokens, components, documentation and the bridge to code.

  7. Prototyping

    Deep

High-fidelity prototypes with motion, good enough to test with users and to guide engineering.

  8. Strategy & metrics

    Advanced

I start from the number the business needs to move, and I measure after launch.

  9. AI & code

    Solid

I use AI every day to prototype in code and build real products, like this portfolio.

[ 05 ]How I think

I ask more questions than I answer at first.

Every project starts the same way: not with a wireframe, but with a question I don't have the answer to yet. What does this decision cost the user? Where do they get stuck? Sometimes the answer lies in the emotion behind the purchase: someone choosing a wine is often thinking about a celebration, long before checkout. Other times it lies in stress: renovating a home is one of the most emotionally loaded decisions people make. The contexts change, but the underlying question stays the same: what does this person need right now?

[ 06 ]Painting

I paint the way I design. Starting with a question, not an answer. No formal technique, just attention and love in every brushstroke, usually with 70s soul funk playing in the background, same as when I'm sketching a new flow. Nobody's waiting on a shipped feature here. Ambiguity gets to stay ambiguous. Same eye. Different rules.

[ 07 ]More about me

Curious since I was ten.

I've been curious about other people's lives since I was a kid walking home from school on my own, wondering what I was missing by only living one. I still am. I run through São Paulo most days: sunscreen on, headphones in, usually something like 70s soul funk playing, past murals I didn't paint, trying to guess what the artist meant. Last Christmas I got a sewing machine. My mother's a dressmaker; I'm not, yet, but I like making things with my hands whether or not they turn out right.

Let's talk about the problem you're solving.
